Resolution to Renew Mandate and Appoint Members of the Golf Courses Advisory Task Force

Whereas, The Golf Courses Advisory Task Force was initially approved on March 3, 2008, to be comprised of 8 members, including 1 Councilmember, 1 Parks Advisory Commission member, 1 current commercial operations expert, 3 Ann Arbor citizens with demonstrated golf operations expertise, 1 citizen with group golf play experience, and an at-large Ann Arbor golf courses patron, nominated and approved by the Mayor and City Council;
Whereas, The Golf Courses Advisory Task Force will be responsible directly to the Mayor and City Council, but will also report out to the Parks Advisory Commission; and
Whereas, The Golf Courses Advisory Task Force expired on March 1, 2010 and is eligible for renewal annually thereafter following review and approval by the Mayor and City Council;
RESOLVED, That the composition of Golf Courses Advisory Task Force be modified to include a citizen and representative of a neighborhood association adjacent to one of the golf courses, and reduce by one a representative with golf operations experience, and thereby maintain the total size of the of Task Force as is; and
RESOLVED, That the Mayor and City Council appoint the following individuals to the Golf Courses Advisory Task Force, with terms that expire on March 1, 2011 and be eligible for renewal annually thereafter following review and approval by the Mayor and City Council:
Stephen Rapundalo, City Councilmember
Julie Grand, Parks Advisory Commission member
Doug Davis, current commercial operations expert
Bill Newcomb, Ann Arbor citizen with demonstrated golf operations expertise
Ed Walsh, Ann Arbor citizen with demonstrated golf operations expertise,
Steven Rodriguez, Ann Arbor citizen with group golf play experience
Barbara Jo Smith, at-large Ann Arbor golf courses patron
John Stetz, Ann Arbor citizen and member of a neighborhood association adjoining a golf course; and
