Public Hearing on Housing and Human Services Needs for the 2010-2011 Washtenaw Urban County Annual Action Plan
Memorandum
The public hearing scheduled for the February 16, 2010 City Council session is a critical part of the citizen participation process of identifying housing and human service needs and establishing funding priorities to address these needs for FY 2010 (July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011).
This public hearing provides the community with a forum to give feedback to the Office of Community Development that will be incorporated into the Annual Plan recommendations for the upcoming fiscal year's allocations of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) and City General Funds to nonprofit housing and human services organizations.
HUD requires at least one public hearing during the development of the Annual Action Plan, a 30-day public comment period, and a summary of those comments must be included in the Annual Action Plan.
