Title
Resolution to Accept Donation of 1.1 Acres from Riverview of Ann Arbor Property for Parkland per Approved Site Plan (8 Votes Required)
Memorandum
Attached for your review and action is a resolution to accept the donation of a 1.1 acre parcel of land for parkland per the terms of the site development agreement approved by Council on September 8, 2009 (R-09-362).

The site is adjacent to Bluffs Nature Area and contains high quality woodland. The site will provide better access to Bluffs Nature Area from the north end of the park. The PROS Plan identifies improved access to Bluffs Nature Area as needed for better utilization of the park. Currently, the only access to Bluffs Nature Area is along Main Street, however, this access is limited due to the topography of the site and traffic along Main Street.

Per the executed site development agreement, prior to execution of permits, the 1.1 acres of land is to be conveyed to the City parks, as shown on an approved site plan, subject to: (a) acceptance by the Ann Arbor City Council, (b) submittal of an acceptable environmental site assessment, and (c) evidence of clear title. A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment has been completed and no Recognized Environmental Concerns were identified on the subject property. The costs associated with the donation is the completion of the Phase I report and a preliminary title information, for a total estimated cost of $2,000.
