An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 11 (Risk Fund) and Repeal Section 1:193 of Chapter 8 (Organization of Boards and Commissions) of Title I of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor (ORD-23-09)
Memorandum
Staff proposes the attached amendments to Chapter 11 (Risk Fund) and the repeal of Section 1:193 of Chapter 8 (Organization of Boards and Commissions) which would eliminate the City’s Board of Insurance Administration (“Insurance Board”) and make the administration of the Risk Fund and the functions of the Insurance Board the responsibility of the City Administrator or their designee. The attached ordinance amendment offers operational and administrative improvements for the administration of the City’s Risk Fund and associated claims process, insurance, and benefits functions.
