Memorandum

Attached for your consideration is a resolution to approve Amendment Number Two to the Professional Services Agreement between the City and Management Partners, Inc. d/b/a Mgmt Partners (“Management Partners”) for Interim Human Resources and Labor Relations Director in the amount of $125,000.00.  Management Partners has provided the Interim Human Resources and Labor Relations Director services since December 2021. The City and Management Partners have an existing professional services agreement, as amended, in place for the Interim Human Resources and Labor Relations Director.  The search process is currently underway for a new Human Resources and Labor Relations Director.

 

Budget/Fiscal Impact: Funding for the contract is included in the approved FY22 and FY23 General Fund operations and maintenance budget for $125,000.00.

Body

Whereas, Management Partners is uniquely qualified and the best source to provide Interim Human Resources and Labor Relations Director services to the City, having provided the services to the City since December 2021;

 

Whereas, The City has an existing professional services agreement, as amended, with Management Partners for Interim Human Resources Director and Labor Relations services;

 

Whereas, Management Partners complies with the requirements of the City’s Non-Discrimination and Living Wage Ordinances; and

 

Whereas, Funding for services for FY22 and FY23 are budgeted within the approved General Fund budget in the amount of $125,000.00;

 

RESOLVED, That City Council approve Amendment Number Two to the Professional Services Agreement between the City and Management Partners, Inc. d/b/a Mgmt Partners for Interim Human Resources and Labor Relations Director in the amount of $125,000.00;

 

RESOLVED, That the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized and directed to execute the contract after approval as to substance by the City Administrator and approval as to form by the City Attorney; and

 

RESOLVED, That the City Administrator be authorized to take all necessary actions to implement this resolution including execution of any changes or amendments that do not exceed the amounts authorized herein.
