Title
Resolution to Establish an Annual $50.00 Renewal Fee for On-Premise Liquor Licensed Establishments Pursuant to Chapter 109 of the City Code
Memorandum
Ordinance No. 09-18 was passed by City Council on May 18, 2009. This ordinance created a process for the annual renewal of all on-premise liquor licensed establishments and the review and investigation by applicable city departments. As part of the annual renewal process, the ordinance allows for the establishment of a fee, payable to the City by March 30 each year, to cover the cost of the review process.

The Council Liquor License Review Committee has reviewed the annual renewal process and recommends an annual renewal fee of $50.00 to be paid by each licensed establishment in the City serving liquor for on-premise consumption. The fee will cover the cost of an administrative review, including a check of outstanding financial obligations to the City, police reports, violations of State and local liquor laws and ordinances, etc. Additional costs related to the requirement of on-site inspections or re-inspections by Planning and Development Services or the Fire Marshal would be charged by the respective department, if necessary.
