Memorandum
Attached for your consideration is a request the Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MIOCA) to close the following streets on Sunday, May 8, 2022 from 5:30 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. for the Time to Teal 5K:

? Main Street between Keech and Liberty
? Ashley between Madison and Liberty
? Madison between Main and Ashley
? Washington between Ashley and Division
? Liberty between Ashley and Division
? Hill between Main and Division
? Division between Hill and Hoover
? Hoover between Division and Greene
? Keech between Greene and Main

The actual race will start at 8:00 A.M. and end by 9:00 A.M. with all streets to be reopened as soon as safely possible after the last runners and participants have cleared the affected areas.

Applicants and City staff met to discuss this event and Staff was supportive of moving this application forward.

Notification of the street closings will be provided through the City's website and GovDelivery, the applicant will notify churches and neighborhood associations no later than one week prior to the event.

Whereas, The street closures will be signed, barricaded and properly supervised;

Whereas, The Sponsor agrees to obtain all necessary permits, to provide evidence of proper liability insurance as required, and to comply with all City regulations governing the use of the streets;

Whereas, The Sponsor has agreed to pay the cost of City services associated with the staging of this event;

Whereas, The Sponsor requires the approval of the Michigan Liquor Control Commission for a special outdoor liquor license that will be approved by Ann Arbor Police; and

Whereas, All streets will be reopened as soon as safe...
