Attached for your review and action is a resolution to approve an agreement with
Fair Food Network (FFN) to administer the Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) program at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market and to accept and appropriate a total of $30,000.00 in funding into the Major Grants Fund.
DUFB is a national project providing incentives to encourage healthier food choices for food stamp (SNAP) recipients, directly benefitting low-income families and local farmers in Michigan and working to impact future food and nutrition policy. The DUFB program provides a match of up to $20/person/day for those customers using SNAP (Bridge Cards/EBT/Food Stamps) to purchase Michigan grown fruits and vegetables at farmers markets across Michigan.

Since 2010, the City of Ann Arbor has received grant funding from the FFN to administer the DUFB program at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market. This grant provides a total of $30,000.00 to the City of Ann Arbor to administer the Double Food Bucks program.

Whereas, The City of Ann Arbor has received grant funding from the Fair Food Network since 2010 to administer the Double Up Food Bucks program at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market;
RESOLVED, That City Council approve a grant agreement with the Fair Food Network to administer the Double Up Food Bucks program at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market;
RESOLVED, That City Council accept and appropriate funding in the amount of $30,000.00 from the Fair Food Network establishing a grant revenue and expenditure budget in the Major Grants fund for the DUFB program without regard to fiscal year;
RESOLVED, That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the agreement after approval as to substance by the City Administrator and approval as to form by the City Attorney, and
RESOLVED, That the City Administrator be authorized to take all necessary actions to implement this resolution including execution of any changes or amendments that do not exceed the amounts authorized herein.
