Memorandum
The attached resolution authorizes the summary publication of Ordinance No. 20-34, which was approved by City Council on January 19, 2021. The City Charter allows summary publication of ordinances that are in excess of 500 words in length. Approval of this resolution will reduce the cost of publishing due to the size of the ordinance.

RESOLVED, That the publication of Ordinance 20-34 shall be made by the following summary:

Ordinance 20-34 - An Ordinance to amend Sections 5.16.6.D, 5.17.4, 5.17.6.C, 5.26.2.A, and 5.28.8, and Tables 5.15-1, 5.15-2, and 5.15-3 of Chapter 55 (Unified Development Code) of Title V of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor (Marijuana Processor, ADU, Security, Building Materials, FAR Determination, Fence Graphic, Use Tables), to: permit and regulate ADUs in the R2A district; include right-of-way dedications for public sidewalks in FAR determination; allow fiber cement board on as a trim or accent material; correct graphic in fence regulations with proper labels for front and middle portions of a lot; expand when security can be given for incomplete site improvements in order to receive a temporary certificate of occupancy; allow marijuana processors in the M2 district; and rename use tables, including matching key words to contents.

The effective date of the Ordinance is 10 days after publication.
