Resolution Setting Forth the Finalists for the Position of City Administrator

Whereas, That the Council by Resolution of June 29, 2020 hired Recruiter Amy Cell to conduct a City  Administrator search;

 

Whereas, That the position has been posted and candidates have applied for the position;

 

Whereas, That the City Council has received a pool of candidates from Recruiter Amy Cell;

 

Whereas, That the City Council has reviewed the applications of this pool of candidates;

 

Whereas, That the City Council desires that a group of finalist candidates for the position of City Administrator go through a public interview process;

 

Whereas, That three panels representing: (1) City Council, (2) City Staff, (3) Community members will conduct interviews of the finalist candidates on August 20;

 

Whereas, That a community survey will be launched on August 20 to provide  community members the opportunity to provide input; and

 

Whereas, That on Monday, August 24, City Council, after receiving this feedback, will determine the next steps which may include, (1) negotiating with one finalist, (2) inviting multiple finalists for additional interviews in September, or (3) relaunching the search.

 

RESOLVED, That the following candidates identified by number be considered final candidates and go through an interview process: TWO, SEVEN, EIGHT and TEN;

 

RESOLVED, that the candidates names and biographical information be made available on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 after they have been informed of this selection on Monday evening August 10, 2020.
