Memorandum
The Kerrytown District Association has applied for a non-competitive special event permit through the Planning and Development Services Unit. The event is for the Nash Bash Country Music Festival on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at the Ann Arbor Farmer's Market. The event is taking place on City Parks property and the applicant is requesting a temporary liquor license in order to serve alcohol at the event.  Approval by City Council is required in order for the applicant to receive a temporary liquor license from the Michigan Liquor Control Commission. City staff has administratively approved all other requirements for the event and approval of this resolution is recommended.

Whereas, The Kerrytown District Association has applied for a permit to hold a Nash Bash Country Music Festival on Thursday, August 20, 2009;
 
Whereas, This special event includes the sale of alcoholic beverages; and
 
Whereas, City staff has approved the application for the special event to take place on August 20, 2009;
 
RESOLVED, That the request by Kerrytown District Association for a temporary liquor license for their Nash Bash Country Music Festival to be held at the Ann Arbor Farmer's Market on Thursday, August 20, 2009 be approved.
