Memorandum
HomeGrown Festival, Inc. has applied for a non-competitive special event permit through the Planning and Development Services Unit. The event is for the HomeGrown Festival '09 on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the Ann Arbor Farmer's Market. The event is taking place on City Parks property and the applicant is requesting a temporary liquor license in order to serve alcohol at the event.  Approval by City Council is required in order for the applicant to receive a temporary liquor license from the Michigan Liquor Control Commission. City staff has administratively approved all other requirements for the event and approval of this resolution is recommended.

Whereas, HomeGrown Festival, Inc. has applied for a permit to hold a HomeGrown Festival 2009 on Saturday, September 12, 2009;
 
Whereas, This special event includes the sale of alcoholic beverages; and
 
Whereas, City staff has approved the application for the special event to take place on September 12, 2009;
 
RESOLVED, That the request by HomeGrown Festival, Inc. for a temporary liquor license for their HomeGrown Festival'09  event to be held at the Ann Arbor Farmer's Market on Saturday, September 12, 2009 be approved.
