Resolution to Appropriate and Amend the FY 2010 Local Street Fund Budget for the Completion of Traffic Calming Projects ($33,498.00) (8 Votes Required)
Memorandum
On March 16, 2009, the Maplewood and Devonshire traffic calming projects were approved for construction using FY 2009 Local Street operating budget funds.  Due to scheduling delays the projects were unable to be completed by the end of the 2009 fiscal year; therefore, the approved funds cannot be utilized without a supplemental appropriation.

Work on the projects began the week of June 28 with the work being substantially completed the week of July 5.  The resurfacing contractor has completed the work and is requesting reimbursement.  The construction cost of each project is as follows:

Maplewood Traffic Calming - $28,500.00
Devonshire Traffic Calming - $  4,998.00

We recommend approval of the following resolution to pay for the construction of these traffic calming projects.
