Resolution to Conclude the Employment Agreement with City Administrator Howard S. Lazarus

Whereas, The City Council has an Employment Agreement dated May 9, 2016 with City Administrator Howard Lazarus;
Whereas, The City Council wishes to conclude the employment with Mr. Lazarus effective February 29, 2020 pursuant to Section 2 (B) (2) of the Employment Agreement;
Whereas, It is in the City’s interest to have a smooth transition of administrative duties within the City;
Whereas, It is in the City’s interest to have an agreement that resolves all matters pertaining to Mr. Lazarus’s employment with the City and outlines an orderly transition from employment with the City;
RESOLVED, That the employment of Mr. Lazarus as City Administrator is concluded effective February 29, 2020; and
RESOLVED, That a Separation and Release Agreement in substantially the form of the Attached Agreement is hereby approved and that the Mayor and the City Clerk and the City Attorney are authorized to sign such Agreement. The City Attorney is authorized to take any further action to finalize the Agreement.
