Title
Resolution to Approve FY 2020 Fee Adjustments for the Assessor's Office, Financial Services Area
Memorandum
The Assessor's Office is proposing to establish fees that will be charged for creating customized reports from computer software maintained by the assessing department.

The City of Ann Arbor provides free access to assessment information on the City's website allowing any person to search and print assessment data for individual parcels.

The Assessor's Office receives requests from third party vendors and other persons asking the assessing department to create customized reports on multiple parcels from computer software maintained by the assessing department. In some instances, the multiple parcel request from third party vendors consists of all real property parcels within the assessor database.

The assessing department currently does not have a fee schedule in place to charge for the creation of customized reports from computer software maintained by the assessing department.

The fee schedule will enable the City to recover reasonable expenses directly related to the creation of custom reports from those persons and third party vendors specially benefiting from such output.

Attached is the recommended fee schedule to create customized reports from computer software maintained by the assessing department.

Staff is recommending that Council approve the fee schedule for customized reports.

Attached for your consideration and approval is a resolution authorizing the assessing department to charge customers for the creation of customized reports from computer software maintained by the assessing department.
