The attached resolution authorizes the summary publication of Ordinance No. 19-32, which was approved by City Council on October 7, 2019. The City Charter allows summary publication of ordinances that are in excess of 500 words in length. Approval of this resolution will reduce the cost of publishing due to the size of the ordinance.

RESOLVED, That the publication of Ordinance 19-32 shall be made by the following summary:
Ordinance No. 19-32 amends Sections 5.15 (Table 5-15), 5.16.3.G, 5.19 (Table 5:19-1), and Section 5.37.2 of Chapter 55 (Unified Development Code) of Title V of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor to provide for marijuana establishments as created in the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act. The Ordinance specifies the land use requirements for Marijuana Retailers, Designated Marijuana Consumption Facilities, Marijuana Microbusinesses, Marijuana Secure Transporters, Marijuana Growers, Marijuana Processors, and Marijuana Safety Compliance Facilities. Amendments approved to the Unified Development Code (UDC) add definitions, permissions, restrictions, regulations and approval procedures for related uses under the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marijuana Act.
The effective date of the Ordinance is 10 days after publication.
