Resolution to Approve Malletts View Office Center Revised Elevations, 385 East Eisenhower Parkway
Memorandum
On June 4, 2007, City Council approved the Malletts View Office Center PUD Site Plan for a two-story, 10,021-square foot medial office building at 385 East Eisenhower Parkway. The development agreement, also approved by Council on June 4, 2007, included a provision that the construction of the building be consistent with the elevation drawings approved as part of the site plan. If the petitioner were to propose any changes to the elevations, setbacks, aesthetics or materials, City Council approval would be necessary.
The petitioner is requesting a redesign of the originally approved building, which was to be a two-story, flat-roofed structure of brick and glass. The proposed redesign will be a three-story, pitched-roof structure of brick, glass, shakes and horizontal siding. With these amendments, the building footprint will decrease, thereby increasing the front and rear setbacks, while maintaining the approved floor area for the site. Staff has determined that these changes can be addressed with an administrative amendment.
Approval of the attached resolution will allow the modifications to the elevations. Staff has reviewed and supports the proposed modifications. Once these modifications to the elevations are approved by Council, staff will finalize the Administrative Amendment to an Approved PUD Site Plan requested by the petitioner.
