Resolution to Approve a Temporary Liquor License to Ozone House Youth and Family Services - End of Summer/Fall Harvest Dinner on Friday, September 11, 2009 at the Ann Arbor Farmer's Market
Memorandum
The Ozone House Youth and Family Services has applied for a non-competitive special event permit through the Planning and Development Services Unit. The event is for the Ozone House End of Summer/Fall Harvest Dinner on Friday, September 11, 2009 at the Farmer's Market. The event is taking place on City Parks property and the applicant is requesting a temporary liquor license in order to serve beer at the event. Admission tickets by invitation only will be sold, which include the price of alcohol and dinner. This is the second year for the event and the applicant applied for and received a temporary liquor license last year as well.
Approval by City Council is required in order for the applicant to receive a temporary liquor license from the Michigan Liquor Control Commission. City staff have administratively approved all other requirements for the event and approval of this resolution is recommended.

Whereas, This special event includes the sale of dinner tickets that include the service of alcoholic beverages; and
Whereas, City staff have approved the application for the special event to take place on September 11,2009;
RESOLVED, That the request by the Ozone House Youth and Family Services for a temporary liquor license for their End of Summer/Fall Harvest Dinner event to be held at the Ann Arbor Farmer's Market on Friday, September 11, 2009 be approved.
