Resolution to Approve a Contract with Optimetrics, Inc. for First Response Decision Support Software and Integration Services (not to exceed $43,540.00)
Memorandum
Attached for your approval is a resolution which authorizes a contract with Optimetrics, Inc. for First Response Decision Support software and integration services in an amount not to exceed $43,540.00.
First Response Decision Support Software will be used by the Fire Services Unit for managing, communicating, responding to, and reporting critical incidents in a mobile application environment. First Response Decision Support Software is certified by the Department of Homeland Security and is National Incident Management System compliant.
All software licenses include real-time automated vehicle location technology and routing capabilities that provide critical in-route and on-site location information. In addition, the first year’s annual maintenance, software updates and training are included at no additional cost.
The integration services will be used to connect computer-aided dispatch calls with the First Response software real-time and provide critical information to on-scene Fire Service personnel.
Funding for the software purchase and integration services was planned for and approved in the Information Technology FY10 budget and Optimetrics, Inc. received Human Rights and Living Wage approval on May 20, 2009.
