Resolution to Approve Retail Plaza Annexation, 1.1 Acres, 3890 Platt Road (CPC Recommendation: Approval - 8 Yeas and 0 Nays)
Memorandum
This resolution is to approve annexation of this property into the City, which is within the City's water and sewer service area and is consistent with the adjacent zoning, land uses and master plan.  After the annexation process is complete, it will come back for Council action on (1) the zoning change to C2B (Business Service) and (2) a planned project site plan.  
 
The City Planning Commission, at its meeting of June 2, 2009, recommended approval of the annexation, zoning and planned project site plan.

Whereas, The territory hereinafter described is located in the Township of Pittsfield and is adjacent to the corporate limits of the City of Ann Arbor;
Whereas, Samaha & Jawich, LLC is owner of said property; and
 
Whereas, It is the desire of Samaha & Jawich, LLC to annex said territory to the City of Ann Arbor, pursuant to the provisions of Act 359 of the Public Acts of the State of Michigan for the year 1947, as amended;
 
RESOLVED, That the following described lands and premises situated and being in the Township of Pittsfield, Washtenaw County, Michigan, be detached from said Township of Pittsfield and annexed to the City of Ann Arbor, to-wit:
