Memorandum
Attached for your approval is a resolution authorizing an agreement with West Shore Services, Inc. not to exceed $72,417, for repairs, upgrades, and maintenance to the outdoor emergency siren system.

This project is part of a multi-year plan to repair, upgrade, and maintain the twenty-two tornado sirens. This project maintains the current number and location of the sirens.

Six sites will receive new cabinets, radio controls, batteries, and receivers. Seven additional sites will receive new radio controls. These sites were based on a survey conducted by staff and the contractor along with feedback results from the monthly tests.

West Shore Services, Inc. is the only vendor in the State of Michigan who is authorized by the manufacturer to work on this system. Thus, a sole source purchase is requested. West Shore Services, Inc. is compliant with the City's Non-Discrimination/Living Wage ordinance.

Budget/Fiscal Impact: Funds for this project were approved as part of the FY20 Fire Services budget.
