Whereas, The Plaintiff in the above-referenced lawsuit has offered to settle the case and release her claims in exchange for $40,000.00; and
Whereas, The City Attorney’s Office has briefed the City Council about the status of this case.
RESOLVED, That the City Council authorizes the City Attorney to resolve the case entitled Levenson v City of Ann Arbor, 22nd Circuit Court, Case No. 15-1284-NO, for $40,000.00, contingent upon the receipt of a settlement agreement and release of all claims, and a dismissal with prejudice by the Court, in a form and with terms approved by the City Attorney; and
RESOLVED, That the City Council authorizes and directs the City Administrator, City Clerk, Mayor, and City Attorney to take such further actions that are consistent with the purposes of this resolution.
