Resolution to Replace Councilmember Ackerman with Councilmember Ramlawi on the Independent Community Police Oversight Commission

Whereas, Councilmember Ackerman currently serves as a Council liaison to the Independent Community Police Oversight Commission;
Whereas, Councilmember Ramlawi currently serves as a Council liaison to the Human Rights Commission;
Whereas, Councilmember Ramlawi is familiar with the Independent Community Police Oversight Commission from his participation in the review of applications and recommendations for the initial membership of the commission;
Whereas, As the Independent Community Police Oversight Commission begins its work, it will be beneficial to have a common Council liaison with the Human Rights Commission, to keep each commission informed of the other’s activities; and
Whereas, Councilmember Ackerman and Councilmember Ramlawi concur in this replacement for the purpose of promoting the success of the Independent Community Police Oversight Commission;
RESOLVED, That Councilmember Ramlawi is hereby designated to replace Councilmember Ackerman as Council liaison to the Independent Community Police Oversight Commission.
