Memorandum

This easement is included in the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) Village Oaks/Chaucer Court Storm Sewer Overflow Project (UT-ST-14-01) to relieve neighborhood flooding, as approved in Council resolution R-18-375. Funding is in the approved capital budget for the Storm Sewer System. This easement is in standard form. 

 

Acceptance of this easement is recommended.

Body

Whereas, Justin L. Bennett and Jennifer A. Bennett are the owners of property commonly known as 2285 Chaucer Court, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48103, described at Liber 5152, Page 417, Washtenaw County Records; and

 

Whereas, Justin L. Bennett and Jennifer A. Bennett, have signed a grant of easement for storm sewers in exchange for compensation of $26,500.00, described as:

 

Commencing at the NW Corner of Lot 375 of the “Lansdowne No. 3” Subdivision, as recorded in Liber 21 of Plats, Pages 31-33, Washtenaw County Records, thence S 86°29’30” E 90.54 feet along the North line of said Lot 375, thence S 42°25’39” E 45.57 feet to the Point of Beginning of a Storm Sewer Easement, thence N 52°42’49” E 30.12 feet along the Northwesterly line of said Lot 376 of said “Lansdowne No. 3” Subdivision; thence S 42°25’39” E 136.08 feet; thence S 43°35’30” W 30.07 feet along the Southeasterly line of said Lot 376 and the Northwesterly right-of-way line of Ann Arbor Saline Road (60.00 feet ½ width); thence N 42°25’39” W 140.87 feet to the Point of Beginning.

 

RESOLVED, That the City of Ann Arbor hereby accept this grant of easement.
