Resolution Authorizing Summary Publication of Ordinance No. ORD-09-17 Amending Sections 1:552, 1:561,1:562,1:563, and 1:564 of Chapter 18, Employees Retirement System, of Title I of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor
Memorandum
The attached resolution authorizes the summary publication of Ordinance No. ORD-09-17. The Ordinance amends Sections 1:552, 1:561,1:562,1:563, and 1:564 of Chapter 18, Employees Retirement System, of the City Code. The amendments to Chapter 18 provide for an Early Retirement Option Program for the Command Officers Association of Michigan and the Ann Arbor Police Officers Association. The amendments detail the requirements and the benefits of this one time program.
The City Charter contains provisions to allow summary publications of ordinances that are in excess of 500 words in length. The purpose of this resolution is to lessen the City's cost resulting from the required publication of the revisions to the City Code.

RESOLVED, That ORD-09-17 be published by the following summary:
Ordinance No. ORD-09-17 amends the City Code by revising Sections 1:552, 1:561,1:562,1:563, and 1:564 of Chapter 18, Employees Retirement System, of Title I of the City Code.
