Resolution to Approve a Temporary Liquor License to Kempf House Center for Local History on September 6, 2009 for their annual Septemberfest at Kempf House Event
Memorandum
The Kempf House Center for Local History and the Kempf House Museum have applied for a non-competitive special event permit through the Planning and Development Services Unit. The event is for the Kempf House Septemberfest to be held on September 6 at the Kempf House Museum. The event is taking place on the Kempf House property and the applicant is requesting a temporary liquor license in order to serve beer at the event.
Approval by City Council is required in order for the applicant to receive a temporary liquor license from the Michigan Liquor Control Commission. City staff have administratively approved all other requirements for the event and approval of this resolution is recommended.

Whereas, Kempf House Museum and the Kempf House Center for Local History have applied for a permit to hold a "Septemberfest" on September 6, 2009;
Whereas, This special event includes the sale and service of alcoholic beverages; and
Whereas, City staff have approved the application for the special event to take place on September 6, 2009;
RESOLVED, That the request by the Kempf House Center for Local History for a temporary liquor license for their annual Septemberfest event to be held at the Kempf House Museum on September 6, 2009 be approved.
