City of Ann Arbor Election Commission Resolution to Establish Absent Voter Count Boards, Receiving Boards and Certifying Boards for the Statewide Primary Election to be Held in the City of Ann Arbor on Tuesday, August 7, 2018

Whereas, The City of Ann Arbor Election Commission has determined that a Statewide Primary Election will be held in the City of Ann Arbor on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in all City wards;
Whereas, The City Clerk’s Office has determined that Absentee Voting Count Boards will be needed for the tabulation of absentee ballots on August 7; and
Whereas, Precinct Delegate results will need to be certified at the City’s Receiving Boards;
RESOLVED, That the Election Commission hereby authorizes the City Clerk to utilize up to ten Absent Voter Counting Boards for the tabulation of absentee ballots at the August 8, 2018 Primary Election; and
RESOLVED, That the Election Commission hereby authorizes the City Clerk to utilize up to ten Receiving Boards at City Hall on Election Night to receive precinct returns as authorized under MCL 168.679a; and
RESOLVED, That the Election Commission hereby authorizes the Receiving Boards to act as Certifying Boards for the purpose of receiving and certifying Precinct Delegate returns from the precincts and Absent Voter Counting Boards.
