Body

Whereas, By resolutions R-18-039 and R-18-100, the City Council has established and confirmed the membership of a Community Policing Commission Advisory Task Force;

Whereas, One youth member was appointed to the Task Force;

Whereas, It has become apparent that due to scheduling of Task Force meetings, it may be difficult for the youth member to attend all meetings; and

Whereas, Because the Task Force values the input of a youth representative, the Task Force has requested the ability to have youth alternates in case the appointed youth member cannot attend, in order to increase the likelihood of a youth voice at each meeting;

RESOLVED, That the Co-Chairs of the Community Policing Commission Advisory Task Force may designate up to three alternates for the youth member of the Task Force, one of whom may take the place of the youth member if the youth member cannot attend a particular meeting; and

RESOLVED, That it is recommended that the Co-Chairs consult with the Neutral Zone to identify potential youth member alternates.
