Resolution to Approve the Purchase of a Vehicle from Jorgensen Ford (MiDeal Bid - $28,132.00)
Memorandum
The attached resolution authorizes the purchase of one 2018 Ford PI Utility AWD sport utility vehicle at $28,132.00 from Jorgensen Ford, Detroit, Michigan.
This vehicle will be used by the Fire Unit of the Safety Services Area and will replace a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe used by the Fire Chief. The Fire Unit has requested the replacement of the ten-year-old Fire Chief vehicle to correspond with the pending change of leadership within the Unit. The replacement vehicle needs to be ordered soon as the manufacturer's "cut-off" date for orders is June 1, 2018.
The Fleet and Facilities Unit reviewed the bids of the Cooperative Purchasing Programs of the State of Michigan and Macomb County. Jorgensen Ford was the lowest responsive bidder to the State of Michigan MiDeal bid.
Adequate funds for this purchase have been budgeted in the Fleet Services budget for FY 2018.
Jorgensen Ford complies with the requirements of the City's conflict of interest and non-discrimination ordinances.
