Please find attached for your consideration a resolution that authorizes a sole source purchase order to CineMassive Displays, LLC. for the purchase of a Traffic Center Video Wall Controller.
The City recently updated its traffic control center, which now includes a video wall. The addition of the video wall controller gives our traffic control group the ability to view multiple traffic monitoring inputs to one large view. The controller also allows the technician to customize their view of multiple inputs simultaneously and the ability to screen share with the Traffic Engineer. This allows for improved management and control of the traffic control system.
Several alternatives were explored and the Alpha Video Wall Controller, distributed by CineMassive Displays, LLC., was determined to be the best fit for our operation. The Alpha Video Wall Controller utilizes a web interface and does not require additional software installation on individual computers or have licensing fees or user limits.
Budget/Fiscal Impact
The funding for the video wall controller is included in the FY 18 approved Major Street Fund Operations and Maintenance Budget.
CineMassive Displays, LLC. is the sole source distributor of the Alpha Video Wall Controller.
CineMassive Displays, LLC. complies with the requirements of the City's Non-discrimination Ordinance.
