Memorandum
Attached for your review and approval is a resolution to authorize a Professional Services Agreement with Inspection Services Company (ISC) for construction materials testing services in the amount of $47,565.00 for the 2009 Local Street Resurfacing Project.

This project consists of the resurfacing of approximately 17 residential streets throughout the City. The construction is scheduled for approximately April 27, 2009 through September 2009.

We received proposals from nine firms for the required construction materials testing services. Project Management staff evaluated the proposals and selected ISC based on the proposal, staff qualifications, past involvement with similar projects, and cost. ISC received Human Rights and Living Wage approval on February 5, 2009.

Services to be performed include all the required testing for soils, aggregates, asphalt, and concrete. Funds for the requested services are available in the project budget for the 2009 Local Street Resurfacing Project.
