Title

Resolution to Approve Partial Prohibition of On-Street Parking on Waldenwood Drive from Penberton Drive to a Point 330 Feet North

Memorandum

Attached for your review and approval, please find a resolution to approve the partial prohibition of on-street parking on Waldenwood Drive from Penberton Drive to a point 330 feet north, south of the King Elementary driveway, during school arrival and dismissal.

This additional removal of the on-street parking on the east side of Waldenwood Dr. was requested by the Ann Arbor Public Schools, and is supported by City transportation engineers.

Chapter 126 of City Code requires Council approval for the permanent or temporary restriction of parking for more than one block. Previously, parking restrictions have been put into place adjacent to, and to the north of the school property, and the addition of this parking prohibition area extends the zone beyond one block, thus requiring Council approval.
