Resolution to Appoint Members to the Commercial Solid Waste Rate Schedule Oversight Committee

Whereas, City Council accepted the Commercial Recycling Implementation Recommendations on January 5, 2009; and
Whereas, In accepting the Commercial Recycling Implementation Recommendations City Council voted to create a multi-stakeholder oversight committee to assist the staff in the development of a commercial solid waste collection rate schedule which is to be adopted prior to the July 1, 2009 start-up date for the solid waste franchise;
RESOLVED, That City Council approves the following slate of candidates to serve on the commercial solid waste rate schedule oversight committee:
John Teeter, First Martin, Corp.
Kyle Mazurek, Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce
Doug McClure, Conlin, McKenney & Philbrick
Nancy Rucker, Zingerman's
Steve Bean, Environmental Commission
David Stead, Environmental Commission
Maggie Ladd, South University Area Association
Rachel Murphy, Border's Group
Jay Uzoigwe, Google
Margie Teall, City Council
Carsten Hohnke, City Council
and;
RESOLVED, That rate recommendations for fiscal 2009/10 shall be provided to City Council no later than May 4, 2009.
