Attached is a resolution to approve the distribution of the draft The Treeline - Allen Creek Urban Trail Plan Master Plan to adjoining jurisdictions.
Project Summary:
• The draft plan makes non-motorized transportation recommendations for the Allen Creek Corridor between the Argo Cascades and Stimson/State Streets.
• The development of the draft plan included extensive opportunities for public and stakeholder involvement.
• The distribution of the draft plan is consistent with State law that requires the distribution of a draft master plan document prior to holding public hearings.
• During this comment period,City Council can also provide any feedback or comment to be considered prior to development of the final draft, which will be forwarded by the Planning Commission to City Council for approval or rejection.
The City Planning Commission, at its meeting of August 15, 2017, recommended that City Council approve the distribution of the draft, The Treeline - Allen Creek Urban Trail Master Plan as a component of the City of Ann Arbor Master Plan.

Whereas, The City Planning Commission and City Council are required to distribute a draft master plan amendment document to adjoining jurisdictions by the Michigan Planning Enabling Act (P.A. 33 of 2008);
Whereas, The distribution of the draft plan, The Treeline - Allen Creek Urban Trail Master Plan will allow adjoining jurisdictions 42 days to provide comment; and
Whereas, The Ann Arbor City Planning Commission, on August 15, 2017, requested that City Council approval of the distribution of the draft plan, The Treeline - Allen Creek Urban Trail Master Plan as a component of the City of Ann Arbor Master Plan;
RESOLVED, That City Council approve the distribution of the Treeline - Allen Creek Urban Trail Master Plan as a component of the City of Ann Arbor Master Plan to adjoining jurisdictions as required by the Michigan Planning Enabling Act; and
RESOLVED, That following future approval by the Planning Commission, City Council shall approve or reject the Treeline - Allen Creek Urban Trail Master Plan as the final step of City adoption of the Plan consistent with Chapter 8, Section 1:183(4) of Ann Arbor City Code.
