Resolution to Approve Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Services Agreement with OHM Advisors, Inc. for the Sanitary Sewer Improvements Preliminary Engineering Project ($105,333.00)
Memorandum
Attached for your review and approval is a resolution to authorize an Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement with OHM Advisors, Inc. (OHM) for the Sanitary Sewer Improvements Preliminary Engineering Project.

Budget/Fiscal Impact
Funding for the services provided under this amendment is available in the approved Sewage Disposal System capital budget. The project will have no unplanned operational impacts.

Background
The City issued a Request for Proposal (RFP #942) in October of 2015 for a professional firm to investigate sanitary sewer capacity in five areas plus one potential operations improvement previously identified as needing further analysis. In January 2016 City Council authorized an agreement with OHM Advisors (Resolution R-16-010) for this work. Identified tasks included flow metering, fieldwork, model updating, public engagement, alternative evaluation and public engagement. The project is ongoing and scheduled to be completed in summer 2017.

During the metering and evaluation of the "Pittsfield Valley" area (see attached drawing), high wet weather flows were also measured in the immediately adjacent area west of Platt Road. This amendment to the Professional Services Agreement will authorize expansion of the Pittsfield Valley area to include field investigation, public engagement, updated computer modeling, and preliminary engineering, in that service area.

In January of 2016 (Resolution No. 16-0101), City Council approved a contract with OHM for this project. This $105,333.00 amendment for the expansion of the Pittsfield Valley study area, brings the total authorized amount to $934,416.00

OHM is in compliance with the requirements of the City's Non-Discrimination and Living Wage ordinances.
