Resolution to Approve the Purchase of the Cireson Business Management Solution Software and Professional Consulting Services ($81,125.00), and Appropriate the Necessary Funds (8 Votes Required)
Memorandum
Attached for your review and consideration is a resolution to approve the purchase of a Business Management Solution and additional professional consulting and implementation services, at a cost of $81,125.00.

Budget/Fiscal Impact: The current Service Management System cannot be updated and has outlived its useful life. The IT department compared three different solutions and recommend Cireson based on cost, integration to our existing Microsoft SCSM environment, and its ability to manage all IT service requests and all City IT assets. To fund the $81,125.00 increase, an appropriation of $81,125.00 from the Information Technology operating reserve is requested.

Software and Maintenance $29,425.00
Service Management Implementation $16,300.00
Asset Management Implementation $35,400.00
------------------
Total $81,125.00

The City is heavily invested in the Microsoft suite of products to manage servers, databases, and the deployment of software across the enterprise.

Cireson service management and asset management solutions are built on the Microsoft platform the City currently utilizes to manage computers and software Citywide.

Approval of this resolution will allow IT Department to purchase the Business Management Solution and related professional consulting and implementation services from Cireson.
