Resolution to Appoint a Member to the Local Development Financing Authority

Body

Whereas, The City of Ann Arbor and City of Ypsilanti, both located in Washtenaw County, Michigan, created a Local Development Financing Authority (LDFA) for the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti SmartZone^SM ;

Whereas, The agreement between the two cities requires the City Council of the City of Ann Arbor to appoint six voting members to the governing body of the LDFA;

Whereas, There is currently one unexpired term position available on the LDFA Board due to a recent resignation;  

RESOLVED, That Richard Beedon is appointed to fill an unexpired term through June 30, 2009;

RESOLVED, That the City Clerk notify the newly appointed member and the chair of the Local Development Financing Authority.
