Resolution to Close North Fourth Avenue for the OutFest: Celebration - August 5-6, 2016

Attached for your consideration is a resolution to approve the closing of North Fourth Avenue between Ann and Catherine Streets from 10:00 AM on Friday, August 5, 2016 to 10:00 PM on Saturday, August 6 for the OutFest Celebration.
OutFest is a weekend festival in Ann Arbor, Michigan to celebrate lesbian, gay bisexual, transgender, and queer identities, community, and allyship. Friday, August 5 through Sunday, August 7 will bring entertainment, community, vendor, fun and most importantly, pride. The festival, hosted by the Jim Toy Community Center (JTCC), has been moved to August to expand an ever-growing festival. Activities on Sunday, August 7, 2016, are scheduled to take place at Wheeler Park.
The sponsor agrees to obtain all necessary permits, to provide evidence of proper liability insurance as required, to comply with all City regulations governing the use of the streets and will reimburse the City for all event expenses.
This event has been coordinated with all relevant City service areas for the purposes of control and for the protection of the health and safety of the participants and general public.

Whereas, The street closures will be signed, barricaded and properly supervised by the sponsor; and
