Attached for your review and approval, please find a resolution approving a professional services agreement for consulting services in the amount of $1,170,537.00 with CH2M Hill Engineers, Inc. for the Sanitary and Stormwater Systems Asset Management Plans. The resolution also provides a ten percent project contingency in the amount of $117,053.00.

The City is embarking on an effort to establish a strategic and proactive plan for management of the City's Sanitary and Stormwater Systems that will:

* ?Enable staff to quickly assess existing conditions of assets in each system
* ?Optimize existing operations and maintenance procedures
* ?Optimize use of available capital investment dollars
* ?Identify resource needs (e.g., equipment, staffing, funding, technology)

The completed Asset Management Plans will enable staff to deal with the multiple objectives that public works systems and services must achieve, while addressing the interests of diverse stakeholders with varied views on what comprises good public works performance.

The proposed agreement between CH2M Hill Engineers, Inc. and the City of Ann Arbor includes the required professional services to perform this project.

The City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP No. 937) for professional services to complete the Sanitary and Stormwater Systems Asset Management Plans. A selection committee comprised of City staff reviewed all of the proposals. CH2M Hill Engineers, Inc. was selected from a pool of eight prospective consultant teams that responded to RFP No. 937. The top four consultant teams were selected for follow-up presentations and interviews.
