Attached for your consideration is a resolution to approve additional days for the street closure for the Ann Arbor Summer Festival’s Top of the Park event. On April 18, 2016, City Council approved the dates of June 10, 2016 through July 3, 2016. These dates only cover the actual event but do not include the necessary dates for the very extensive set-up and breakdown of this event. The dates were not correctly entered by staff when the initial request for 2016 was made. Your approval will correct that error.

Whereas, City Council approved the Ann Arbor Summer Festival’s Top of the Park event for June 10, 2016 through July 3, 2016 at enactment number R-16-132;
Whereas, Staff incorrectly entered the street closure dates as the event dates without adding the street closure dates; and
Whereas, The dates of June 6, 2016 through July 8, 2016 are required for set-up and breakdown of the event;
RESOLVED, That City Council approve the additional days of June 6, 2016 through July 8, 2016 for the set-up and breakdown of the Ann Arbor Summer Festival’s Top of the Park.
