An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 55 (Zoning), Zoning of 1.03 Acres from TWP (Township District) to R1A (Single-Family Dwelling District), 3355 Geddes Road (CPC Recommendation: Approval - 6 Yeas and 0 Nays) (Ordinance No. ORD-16-06)

Memorandum

Approval of this resolution will zone this 1.03-acre parcel from TWP to R1A to allow access to City utilities.  The site was recently annexed into the City, effective on February 29, 2016 as notified by the Secretary of State to the City Clerk. 

 

The City Planning Commission determined that the proposed zoning is consistent with the adjacent zoning, the surrounding land uses, and the City's Master Plan and recommended approval of the request at its meeting on September 29, 2015.

3355 Geddes Rezoning

 

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING MAP, BEING A PART OF CHAPTER 55 OF TITLE V OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF ANN ARBOR

 

The City of Ann Arbor ordains:

 

Section 1.  THE ZONING MAP, which, by Section 5:4 of Chapter 55 of Title V of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor is made a part of said Chapter 55, shall be so amended as to designate the zoning classification of property described as follows:

 

Commencing at the center post of Section 26, T2S, R6E, Washtenaw County, Michigan, and running thence Southerly along the North and South ¼ line of Section 26 for 1110.62 feet for a Point of Beginning; thence running Southerly along the North and South ¼ line for 363.68 feet to the centerline of Geddes Road (so-called); thence Easterly along the centerline on a curve left whose central angel is 06º10’ and whose radius is 2292.01 for 120.04 feet; thence Northerly parallel to the North and South ¼ line of Section 26, T2S, R6E for 430.2 feet; thence deflecting 119º00’ to the left and running Southwesterly for 137.2 feet to the Point of Beginning, being a part of that part of the West ½ of the West ½ of the Southeast ¼, Section 26, T2S, R6E, Washtenaw County, Michigan, lying North of Geddes Road.

 

in the City of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan as R1A (Single-Family Dwelling District).

 

Section 2.  This ordinance shall take effect and be in force on and after ten days from legal publication.
