Resolution to Authorize Summary Publication of Ordinance No.08-36 - Connection Charges
Memorandum
The attached resolution authorizes the summary publication of Ordinance No. 08-36 which amends the City Code by amending the existing Chapter 27 (Water Service) and Chapter 28 (Sewage and Sewage Disposal). The Ordinance amends Section 2:22 of Chapter 27 to increase water connection charges. The Ordinance also amends Section 2:42.4 of Chapter 28 to increase sewer connection charges. The City Charter contains provisions to allow summary publications of ordinances that are in excess of 500 words in length. The purpose of this resolution is to lessen the City's cost resulting from the required publication of the revisions to the City Code.

RESOLVED, That Ordinance No. 08-36 be published by the following summary:
Ordinance No. 08-36 amends the City Code by amending the existing Chapter 27 (Water Service) and Chapter 28 (Sewage and Sewage Disposal). The Ordinance amends Section 2:22 of Chapter 27 to increase water connection charges. The Ordinance also amends Section 2:42.4 of Chapter 28 to increase sewer connection charges.
