Body

Whereas, The appointment of members of the Environmental Commission is a prerogative of the City Council;

Whereas, There is currently a vacancy on the Environmental Commission;

Whereas, Valerie Strassberg has expressed an interest in serving on the Environmental Commission and would accept an appointment to the Commission effective Monday, October 20, 2008; and

Whereas, There is an immediate need on the Environmental Commission for a new member;

RESOLVED, That Valerie Strassberg be appointed in a one-step process to serve a three-year term on the Environmental Commission beginning Monday, October 20, 2008 and expiring October 20, 2011; and

RESOLVED, That the City Clerk notify Ms. Strassberg of this appointment.
