Memorandum
The attached resolution authorizes the summary publication of amendments to Chapters 47, 55, 57 and 62 of Title IV of the City Code. The City Charter contains provisions to allow summary publications of ordinances that are in excess of 500 words in length. The purpose of this resolution is to lessen the City's cost resulting from the required publication of the ordinance revisions.

Whereas, Section 7.4 of the City Charter authorizes the publication by summary of ordinances over 500 words in length;
RESOLVED, That the publication of Ordinance 08-32 shall be by the following summary:
Ordinance 08-32 amends Chapter 47 (Streets), Chapter 55 (Zoning), Chapter 57 (Subdivision and Land Use Control) and Chapter 62 (Landscape and Screening) of Title V of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor by providing standards for private streets, clarifying the definition of access, including providing requirements for landlocked, nonresidential parcels, revising current requirements for landlocked, residential parcels, requiring a site plan for Planning Commission approval for private streets, and including requirements for street ...
