Resolution to Approve Althoen Annexation, 1.29 Acres, 226 Sumac Lane (CPC Recommendation: Approval - 7 Yeas and 0 Nays)
Memorandum
This resolution is to approve annexation of this property into the City, which is within the City’s water and sewer service area and is consistent with the adjacent zoning, land uses and master plan. It will come back for Council action on the zoning change to R1A (Single-Family Dwelling District) after the annexation process is complete. The City Planning Commission, at its meeting of September 16, 2008, recommended approval of the request.

Whereas, The territory hereinafter described is located in the Township of Ann Arbor and is adjacent to the corporate limits of the City of Ann Arbor;
Whereas, Steven C. and Marcia Althoen are the owners of said property; and
Whereas, It is the desire of Steven C. and Marcia Althoen to annex said territory to the City of Ann Arbor, pursuant to the provisions of Act 359 of the Public Acts of the State of Michigan for the year 1947, as amended;
RESOLVED, That the following described lands and premises situated and being in the Township of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, be detached from said Township of Ann Arbor and annexed to the City of Ann Arbor, to-wit:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of Lot 12, HILLTOPS SUBDIVISION, as recorded in Liber 9 of Plats, Page 52, Washtenaw County Records; thence N 01 degrees 08 minutes 00 seconds East 374.16 feet along the East line of said subdivision; thence North 89 degrees 42 minutes 30 seconds West 190.88 feet (measured as 191.94 feet); thence South 03 degrees 07 minutes 00 seconds West 15.02 feet for a Place of Beginning; thence continuing South 03 degrees 07 minutes 00 sec...
