Resolution to Approve a Purchase Order to CGI-AMS for the Renewal of the Advantage Financial and Brass Budget Software Maintenance Agreement for Fiscal Year 2009 ($129,810.00)
Memorandum
Attached for your review and action is a resolution to approve the renewal of the annual maintenance agreement with CGI-AMS for the City’s software used for budgeting, invoicing, accounts payable and financial tracking and reporting for Fiscal Year 2009 in the amount of $129,810.00.

The financial system has been instrumental in allowing business units to systematically manage and control spending. The integration of the financial data allows for monthly reporting and workflow routing for approvals of purchases. The Brass Budget Software has allowed employees, administration, and management to track, process, manage, and review the budget from the beginning of the budget planning process through the approval of the new budget. It is imperative to maintain the agreement with CGI-AMS to receive application updates, and maintain support. The City has a perpetual license to run the CGIAMS software.

The accompanying resolution authorizes the creation of a purchase order to process a payment to CGI-AMS in the amount of $129,810 for maintenance of Advantage Financial, and Brass Budget Software for fiscal year 2009. CGI-AMS received Human Rights and Living Wage compliance approval on July 3, 2008.
