Project UT-SN-06-01, the Valhalla Drive Sanitary Sewer Extension Project, is included in the City's adopted FY08 Capital Budget. The project includes the construction of 8-inch sanitary sewer from Valhalla Drive cross-lots across the University of Michigan’s Golf Course and Driving Range. The proposed sewer will outlet into an existing sanitary sewer located in Golfview Lane. Please see the attached drawing that depicts the project location and the proposed routing of the sanitary sewer.

This project includes the construction of approximately 2,500 lineal feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer to serve the residential properties along Valhalla Drive that have failing septic tanks and tile fields. There are seventeen properties located within the proposed service area. Two of the properties are currently within the City and the remaining parcels are located within an island of Pittsfield Township parcels. All parcels will be required to pay the fixed charge improvement charge in effect at the time for sanitary sewer mains when they connect to the proposed sanitary sewer line. We expect to complete the design of the project this year and construct the project in 2009.
