Memorandum
Attached is a resolution to approve the request from AWBW Corp. to transfer the ownership and location of a Class C Liquor Licensed Business located in escrow at 124 Pearl, Suite 101, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, to Ann Arbor Burgers, Inc., located at 859 Eisenhower Parkway. The applicant is also requesting a new Entertainment Permit to be held in conjunction with the Class C Liquor License, which will have on-site promotional events, such as on-location radio station broadcasts, burger eating contests, and other promotional events that require the issuance of the Entertainment Permit. The Applicant is also requesting an SDM License to be held in conjunction with the Class C License; however, Council approval is not needed for the SDM License. The applicant plans to operate the business as a restaurant with a menu that includes a variety of burgers, sandwiches, soups and salads, deserts, etc.
The Police, Treasurer and Fire Services have approved the application. Planning and Development Services has approved the application subject to a final inspection after the building has completed construction. There are no delinquent property taxes, all application fees are paid and there are no objections from City Staff.
