Memorandum
The zoning of this property was postponed at the March 3 Council meeting in order for staff to provide additional information about the recommendation for R1B zoning. Staff originally recommended R1B zoning for this property due to its location closer to the south end of Riverview Drive and because the railroad tracks separated it from the Huron River. However, the only separation between the Huron River and this property is the railroad tracks and the land adjacent to the south is zoned R1A. Changing the recommendation to R1A zoning for this property would be consistent with Council's preference for R1A zoning along the river and the surrounding area. Other similarly situated properties will be rezoned consistent with this action.
Approval of this ordinance will zone this property R1A, now that it has been officially annexed into the City. The proposed R1A zoning is consistent with the adjacent zoning, the surrounding land uses, and the City's Master Plan.

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING MAP BEING A PART OF CHAPTER 55 OF TITLE V OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF ANN ARBOR.
The City of Ann Arbor ordains:
Section 1. THE ZONING MAP, which, by Section 5:4 of Chapter 55 of Title V of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor is made a part of said Chapter 55, shall be so amended as to designate the zoning classification of property described as follows:
