Attached for your review and action is a resolution to approve a purchase order for the Relocation of Community Television Network’s Playback and Studio Systems in the amount of $34,980.00 from Thalner Electronic Labs, dba TeL Systems, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Funding for this purchase is included in the Production Equipment Fund in the approved FY 2008 budget.

Community Television Network (CTN) requires the relocation of these systems as part of the planned move of CTN to its new facilities located at 2805 S. Industrial, Suite 200, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Bid documents were distributed to contractors and three vendors submitted bids for this purchase. Thalner Electronic Labs is the lowest responsible bidder.

Whereas, Community Television Network staff recommends the relocation of the Playback and Studio Systems;

Whereas, the Playback and Studio Systems are a necessary part of CTN’s facilities relocation to 2805 S. Industrial, Ann Arbor, MI;

Whereas, the purchase will allow for a quick, efficient and professional relocation of the Playback and Studio Systems thereby allowing CTN to resume broadcast of four cable channels to the Ann Arbor community with a minimum of down time;

Whereas, Thalner Electronic Labs, dba Tel Systems, was the lowest responsible bidder for a total of $34,980.00; and

Whereas, Thalner Electronic Labs received Human Rights approval on January 30, 2008 and complies with the provisions of the City’s Living Wage...
